DART (Disability Awareness Raising Team) - The DART group meets regularly to consult on issues around disability within the Commission and assist with finding options and solutions; raise awareness of disability issues and highlight issues to management; promote the work of the group through the internal communications channels. Their aim is to develop and nurture a support network of staff who are affected by or who are interested in disability issues.
CITAC (Christians in the Commission) - CitAC is a network for Christians and those interested in the Christian faith. Their aims are to serve the Commission faithfully; share our faith; and provide an opportunity to learn about Christian faith and practice. The chair for this network is John Casey.
ENRG (Ethnic Network Relations Group) - The purpose of this network is to enable black and minority ethnic staff to have an opportunity to share experiences and support one another to achieve their full potential at the Commission; to provide a route through which black and minority ethnic staff can contribute to the improvement of equality and diversity and the overall work of the Audit Commission from an ENRG perspective; and to support equality and diversity in general and champion race equality specifically. The Chair for this network is Asari St Hill.
FlexiNET - FlexiNET aims to provide support to part-time/flexible workers and consult with the Commission on their behalf. The network shares experiences with colleagues, comments on the impact that AC policies may have on flexible workers and contributes to their future development to ensure equal access to development, training and progression. Each region has a volunteer who helps to coordinate the network’s activities. This network co-chaired by Catherine Morganti and Christine Smith.
OUT - OUT is the staff network for promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality. They aim to provide support and networking opportunities; encourage and challenge the AC in becoming an 'employer of choice' for LGBT staff ; assist the AC in raising its external profile, particularly in the gay community; and contribute to the diversity and user focus agenda, both internal and external. This network is open to all AC staff, of any sexual orientation. The chair of this network is Peter Lawrence.
