Training for tomorrow

Though we already provide a strong portfolio of diversity and equality focused training, we plan to respond to new needs identified through consultation with staff. Future plans include:

  • A training programme which targets managers, providing the skills and knowledge they need to deal with equality issues arising in their teams
  • Three new campaigns to raise awareness of responsibilities in relation to age, religion/belief and sexuality. These programmes will also look at the impact these factors make on equality and diversity
  • Integrating equality issues into all training
  • Introducing new computer-based training packages to make learning easy and accessible to all
  • Developing an upward mentoring programme based on our award-winning Opportunities Mentoring Programme.
