Collecting information to measure performance

The Audit Commission collects, checks and publishes information on how council services, including housing, are performing against measures in a number of specific areas set down by the Government as well as against local performance indicators. We also do similar work with police authorities and with the NHS, collecting and checking information to measure their performance in specific areas.
